La Ferme des Cousines is located at an elevation of 1,000 meters in the hamlet of Les Alluaz in Saint-Sigismond. This traditional Savoyard farmhouse has been tastefully and authentically renovated using local materials.
It overlooks the Arve Valley, offering a magnificent view of the mountains and the ski slopes of Les Carroz. This private apartment is located in the northern part of the house and welcomes you with the utmost comfort.

Cars can be parked near the entrance to the residence, in a gravel courtyard.
To reach the front door, however, you must descend 4 steps ranging in height from 14 to 21 cm. There is no handrail for these first 4 steps. You must then climb 10 steps, which are equipped with a handrail. The first 8 steps are between 16 and 18 cm high, and the last 2 steps are 14 cm high.
You must then pass through the two entrance doors to access the interior; one is 69 cm wide and the other is 88 cm wide. There is also a 4-cm threshold to cross.
On the ground floor, everything is on one level, with no thresholds or steps. It includes:
- The kitchen and dining area, where the kitchen countertop is 89 cm high and the dining table is 73 cm high.
- The kitchen also provides access to the first bathroom with a toilet. The entrance door is 69 cm wide. The toilet is 43 cm high, and the bathroom sink is 84 cm high. The room is equipped with a shower; the entrance to the shower is 69 cm wide with a 13 cm step. The shower measures 69 x 98 cm. Upon request, an auxiliary seat can be installed in the shower for sitting.
- From the kitchen, an open passageway 95 cm wide leads to the living room. The living room has a sofa that converts into a single bed with a height of 46 cm. The living room can be darkened with a curtain, but the room has no door and opens directly onto the kitchen.
To reach the first floor, you must climb a staircase with 14 steps, each 18 cm high, equipped with a handrail. Please note that, depending on your height, you may need to duck because a beam on the staircase is quite low.
On the first floor, there is a 13-centimeter step located between the bedroom and the second room (which can be used as a living room or bedroom), the bathroom, the toilet, and the stairs leading to the second floor. The floor consists of:
- A bedroom with a double bed that is 45 cm high and a two-seater sofa bed that is 44 cm high. This bedroom is equipped with curtains.
- A living room separated from the bedroom by a door that cannot be locked, containing a two-seater sofa bed that is 37 cm high. This living room also has curtains to darken the room.
- A bathroom featuring a shower measuring 112x130 cm with a 19-cm step and a 68-cm-wide shower entrance. Upon request, an auxiliary seat can be installed in the shower for sitting. The bathroom sink is 88 cm high.
- A toilet that turns on automatically via a motion sensor. The toilet door is 59 cm wide, and the toilet is 43 cm high.
To access the second floor, you must climb 11 steps, each 20 cm high, with no handrail.
The second floor consists of an attic bedroom with 3 beds:
One double bed, 45 cm high, and two single beds, each 28 cm high.
This bedroom is equipped with curtains and has no steps.
Outside, access to the pool is through the entrance doors mentioned above. You must go down the 10 steps and then another 15-centimeter step. There is then a sloped ramp leading to the pool; it is 89 cm wide. The owners do not have any adapted equipment for entering the water; however, steps are available to help you get into the water (see photos).

The unit does not have particularly high contrast and is primarily made of wood.

Motion sensors outside the apartment illuminate the path to the front door.
A motion sensor automatically turns on the light in the first-floor bathroom.
Please note that the staircase leading to the first floor and the bedroom on the second floor have ceiling heights that are sometimes low.

The house is located in a small hamlet on a road with little traffic, so there are very few people passing by.
The house is partially fenced.
The restrooms lock with a twist lock. Either the bedrooms have no doors, or the door separating the living room and the bedroom on the first floor does not lock.
The bathroom faucet is simple and standard.
There is a swimming pool in the yard. When not in use, it is covered.
There are no accessible signage symbols.
