Immerse yourself in the timeless magic of The Nutcracker, Tchaikovsky's masterpiece created in 1892, inspired by Hoffmann's famous tale "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King".
Under the Christmas Eve lights, young Clara receives a soldier-shaped nutcracker as a gift. At midnight, the dream begins: toys, snowflakes and fairies come to life, transporting Clara into a fairytale world where her nutcracker becomes a hero. At the crossroads of childhood and fantasy, The Nutcracker blends wonder, tension and poetry. This work marked a turning point in the history of dance, and paved the way for the great Russian ballets of the 20th century. Sofia City Ballet, with its 22 virtuoso dancers, offers a sumptuous version, faithful to the spirit of the tale and the classical tradition, and driven by the highest artistic standards. A magical journey for young and old, to be enjoyed by the whole family over the festive season.
