Strings will rain down on this concert! First, the virtuoso strings of Amaury Coeytaux, member of the Quatuor Modigliani and one of the most brilliant performers of his generation. Then those of the musicians of the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie.
The concert puts the violin in all its states: impossible to resist the solo pyrotechnics of Vivaldi's concerto or Stravinsky's Suite italienne for solo violin and string orchestra. Verdi's Quartet in E minor is the Italian master's only foray into chamber music. Verdi composed it in a matter of days, taking advantage of a waiting period in Naples while his singer recovered her voice. The result is a true masterpiece!
