2789 - A whole history
74300 Cluses
Description
Where do we come from? What are we? Where are we going?
Seven actresses and actors take us on the drunken boat of artistic creation. Through the eyes of their theater troupe, we witness their adventures, while taking a look behind the scenes.
We see them struggling between their personal interests and those of the community, between the individual and the collective, between clumsy pronouncements, tyrannical seizures of power, comic cowardice and unexpected acts of bravery, all the while feeling their need for revolution and their inability to bring it about.
One of them even considers running for president in 2027. In this way, they question us and reflect, in the present, the conformist, individualistic society in which we live, while at the same time mirroring our historical past.
In parallel, alternating between the realm of creation and spectacular performances, we will witness the entire contemporary history of France, from 1789 to the present day, in the form of an electric concert or theatrical fragment.
This latest creation by Les Epis Noirs (Britannicus) is a variation on the theme of France, where the thread is not chronological but sensational.
